I selfship in order to cope with childhood traumas, and support those who indulge in problematic fiction for similar reasons, or simply for fun. I can provide evidence as to why this is healthy and supported by science.
I have Autism and Combined Presentation ADHD, which lead to an unpleasant childhood that left me with anxiety, depression, dysmorphia, and trust issues. I was diagnosed formally in 2023.
I use selfshipping both as a coping mechanism, and as a way to create a better version of a childhood and adolescence I wouldn't wish on anyone. I will not go into detail as it is a sensitive subject, and I do not owe you an explanation when you disregard my trauma in order to slander me.
